its a similar experience except that after you have used it the fly rod is straight where as the mannock is bent!

All joking aside though the cue looks stunning...

More to the point why do people have them made up only for them to then be advertised elsewhere? Looks bad for Trev and Mike, so many of their cues on Ebay and on here for sale every single day almost!

Good point cueman...yes people pay a fortune for a cue from some of the so called best cue makers in the world only for the cue to end up for sale on ebay and forums like this one...like you i just wonder why do they get it made to there own spec just to sell it ?

Honestly, I've already done this but without the selling part. The problem is not in the cue, which is generally well-made, especially if it's Trev or Mike, nor in the specs, which are generally based on your knowledge or wishes; the problem is adapting to the shaft, IMO. Generally, people have got used to their own cue and its shaft, so changing is sooo difficult, especially if the rest of the specs have been adhered to correctly. It's like having your old cue, but it doesn't react the same! Difficult and time-consuming to solve, so folks go back to their old cues! The other problem with adapting to the shaft is that a lot of people have poor quality, cheap cues and if you give them a first-class cue they literally don't know what to do; everything is different and they have to un-learn to learn to play again. Result: sell the new cue!
Another nice one is when you buy a top of the range cue hoping that you'll be able to improve your game without working at it. After all, those fancy splices MUST help you to not miss any more, musn't they? Why else are they there!

How i wish that was true :D I'm still hoping, I bet if you had 100 splices in a cue it would help... Anyone have the money to test my theory? Or maybe a half ash half maple shaft... hmmmmm
