Heard they are very good and safe for laminated tips such as Talisman.
Tried the "Tip Pik" once but it seems to delaminate the TIP + it might scratch the ferrule if you "miss pick".
Any experience with it?

I have had one for over 20 years and it does not show any wear what’s so every. They are ideal for roughing up the top of your tip. I apply mine once every month or so by hitting the top of the tip with it. I find that after using one, I seem to feel the “tip to cue ball” contact more, maybe I should use it more often. I would consider it my best tip tool, money well spent.

I recall reading that the person that invented it was a mechanic or in a garage. He saw the punched out metal from where the engines block heater is attached and used the plug to make his first Brad Scuffer.
