I'm strictly a novice, though if this had been the 2004 edition I would have played loads better. I won loads of tournaments on that edition :)

You are decent mate don't worry, I was playing someone the other day that was just rolling onto the pack constantly and that was difficult to get in to make a decent break, I wish there was more frames you could play though.

I've almost won the golden cue should do that tonight then see how that cue works hopefully as wonders haha, I can't wait till '10 if there will bring it out because '09 is fairly easy to be honest.

I hate it when the opponent rolls into the pack of reds after a break or anytime in order to get the cue ball safe. That's just a cop out I reckon, getting out of making a professional safety shot back to baulk which isn't hard to do thankfully in WCS Real 09. More often than not, I can get the cue ball perfectly safe in baulk from a break off or safety shot, although I sometimes hit the ball too hard and it ends up dropping down near the blue, but I'm working on putting that right at the moment.

I have to say '09 is the easiest snooker game since the '04 (my favourite) edition. The potting line comes in really handy and this line didn't always display in the '07 and '05 editions for some reason and if it did it was too short and harder to judge. In the '09 edition, the only time the potting line is shorter is when it is match shot which leaves your oppenent needing snookers to win the frame, which kind of resembles real life snooker as that match winning shot is often the key pressure shot of the match and some players miss those match shots, so having the potting line shorter for these shots is ideal I reckon.

Hopefully the '10 edition will continue along those same lines.

That was a really good game we had last night. You still dominated me, lol, but I had a fairly decent score. Yeah I will defo have to get myself a headset soon. I got Xbox Live as a Christmas present so wasn't expecting to be playing online :)

I've not been online much over the weekend, but will be back on tonight. I played a few offline games yesterday though and I progressed to the Welsh Open Quarter Finals but got beat. I'm still determined to reach a major final and win it :)

I sometimes play a game when I've had a few beers. For some games I actually play better, but for the likes of racing games I'm terrible :)

I played a couple of games of WCS Real 09 when I was a bit drunk a couple of weeks ago and ended up doing reasonably well considering and won all 3 pre-tournament qualifying games in one session, but gave up after that, didn't want to push my luck, lol.

its called wcs real 2009.........you can get it for xbox playstation3 and pc...........but be advised the pc version does not have online play........the xbox 360 is the best version.

I'm on again tonight from 9pm mate if you fancy a game then? I had a terrible session in single player on Tuesday night. I was losing nearly every match I was playing, even in qualifying. But improved somewhat last night when I played and got to the China Cup Quater finals and was knocked out by a spotted black by Jamie Cope. Really close game :)

I'm hoping to get a free one from one of my mates. I'm only a 3 month trial at the moment and also have a PS3 so I dno't think it's really worth paying for one. Though I might get 12 months Xbox Live Gold when my 3 months expires, though not decided yet.

I tend to agree there mate. The Xbox has far more features and stuff to do online than the PS3.

I've had a terrible couple of days on WCS Real 09 and just can't seem to win frames. I need to spend a few hours on the career mode and get some practice in I think :)
