Whatever it takes eh........;)
Can work the other way though......

Worst i've seen is an old snooker hall being pulled down some years ago & alot of old antique cues already smashed up in the skip !!!!

With the builder saying & i quote " that old rubbish won't be worth anything "

Not now mate no!!

Very sneaky :D

a bit i had to hire a bloody removal lorry to transport the table round the corner to another auction place - i made my money back on the cue rack and score board and 3k profit on the cues though!

yes - these days though you don't really get a bargin - people think everything is worth money!

Yes its easier today though to check the value of things not just cues but everything else with the internet, ebay etc......people have a reference point to give them a good idea, to be fair though this is better than people being ripped of, a fair price for a nice item..........:)

Plus the way things are being in a recession etc many have been forced to look into the value of stuff............

Now you'll need a full-size Edwardian Snooker table, made in 1910 with some rare antique cues and old scoreboard. :snooker::D

Yes it's a dream situation........

I have to fall out of the snooker room and go about 4 miles........:(

It used to be less than 1 mile....so even after the flats are built your second choice is still good......

If you paid a little over £300 for it you have an absolute bargain.

I sold one very similar to this for this for £800, this was the buyers first offer and he was convinced he had a bargain obviously knew more about it than me.

Try getting a quote from a cabinet maker to make one of these using the same materials, I did and the quote nearly made me pass out.

well i paid enough that he would have to have sold it for £560 on ebay to match my offer - paid directly into his a/c in 2 minutes. plus i send dhl to pick it up.

yes i think i did ok not amazing but it can't be a bad buy.

your wife didn't have to put up with 500 cues around the house not including boxes of chalk etc etc.......

your wife didn't have to put up with 500 cues around the house not including boxes of chalk etc etc.......

wouldnt it be really scary to have 500 cues and a wife + kid (especially if he/she doesnt know the value/meaning of them) around the house at the same time?

if you mess up, your wife will hold your cues as hostage, and you can only save/protect so many....

if your kid is intellectually curious (in other words, naughty), he would mistake the cues as kung-fu or walking sticks, or worse, build a little tent with the cues :eek::eek::eek:

but then again, if theres a burglar in the house, you can easily fight them off with either:
a) center jointed cue or 3/4 cue, a piece of each hand.
b) whipp the hell out of the burglar 2 inexpensive 1 piece
c) get the extensions out....

i have seen dens built out of 40 top class hand made cues and a match cloth - my wifes argument - thats what happens if you sleep late! :D

that said - my wife is well aware of the value of them - it pays for things! and as for a being robbed where i live its a bit like the film deliverence you would need to have a helicopter to leave the area in one piece!
