View Full Version : UK Pool Tournaments???

I know this is a snooker forum but i thought i would see if anyone in the UK could help me out with this one. Are there any Major amature(open to anyone) pool tournaments in the Uk with big prizemoney? Looking for a teams tournament. Had a quick google but nothing with any promise showed up. The more big tourneys i can find the better. Thanks.

well it depends what rules ur looking for theres the bapto event thats open to all teams thats in september i think

well it depends what rules ur looking for theres the bapto event thats open to all teams thats in september i think

World Eight ball rules.

There's a couple of American 9 ball and 8 ball comps in Australia where first prize is a trip to Las Vegas with entry into a big money Tournament. I know there's alot of money in American 9 ball, hadn't heard much about uk pool. Thinking about maby putting together a comp in our town where first prize was to the U.K. and entry into a english eight ball comp.

However theres not much money in UK pool so a trip from overseas may not be worth the time..

Plenty of tournaments, but any with big money you generally
need to qualify for.
Even then I think you'd need to win the comp to cover
your plane tickets
years ago when you had to qualify for the bapto we used
to have teams from France and Spain over here but other
than that there about as far away as I've heard.
You could always try to qualify for the world champs over
there and come over for that
