I have just finished a small update ot the forum and whilst I was doing that I got down and fixed a few bugs that have been in the system for years!

You will notice that previously where is said Private Message next to your name (Top Right) it now says Your Notifications as it takes into consideration, Private Messages, Friend Requests, Social Group noticications and picture comments.

There is also a new button on the navigatin called Community where you can access the social groups, friends list and picture folders.

On the subject of picture folders you should of all by now backed up your images from the old picture gallery and put them into the image folders built into vBulletin, if you have not then you have a week or so until the old gallery is deleted. Perma link to old gallery (http://thesnookerforum.com/gallery)

The Quick Links menu on the navigation has also been fixed and updated with new options.

In the main WYSIWYG editon under the options for nthe smileys you will also see a new option My Photos, simply click the option Insert and you can insert a image from one of your Albums into any post, like below.

There is also a option in the pop up window to select from your attachments storeage.

We have tragically lost our favicon, but gained a new moderator in exchange, so all is well. :D

The TSF ons is still showing up for me but looking at the source file yes it has gone, strange but I will find our old one and put it back in place.

New mod!!! new admin me thinks, yeah Dan is doing some maintenance on the site over the next few weeks, The Statman is getting old and gray and needs a hand navigating around the forum so his apprentice is taking on some of the old mans work :D

Not even a week in the office and someone is already stealing his rank badges. My apologies to the new admin. :D

And I suppose 'thank you' is in order for all Statman's work. :)

Edit: Nope, he's still a moderator. I mean Statman, of course. ;)

The Statman was demoted to moderator because he did not like the emails admins get form what I remember! as a admin you get automated emails form the forum when people try to hack in, sign up with a multiple account or are just being a wolly so we demoted him but he still has the same access as before but without all the electronic stuff old men don't like ;)

He is going to kills me when he reads this :D

I love the new page when you first put the forum URL in ferret, looks alot more professional.

ferret. My "Private Messages" still reads "Private Messages". Top right of screen. Is this a bug or have I misunderstood the changes you made. Doesn't bother me BTW.

It only changes to Notifications when you have a Notification I think, hopefully ferret can confirm this?

I think you are right, try sending each other a friend request and see if it changes

I just sent him one.

Will have to see what he says.

On another note, I couldn't log on at all yesterday, kept getting an error message, any ideas what the problem was?

Yes it did change to notifications - and now i have a new friend in Mr P :D
edit - and now Bigmeek as well

Problem yesterday has now been resolved, I did wonder why it was a bit quiet on here since the update :)

Oh right, cheers. I love the new update, looks good!

Like I said, the first page when you first go onto the site when it's re-directing you looks alot more professional.

new favicon :) looking very nice, much better then the old one! very simple, but effective.

I could not find our old one for some reason!

And I needed to add one for the Search widget!!! it is documented on here somewhere bus basically if you are using a browser which has a search box next to the address bar for you to search in Bing or Google, you can click the little down arrow and add TSF search to that search box.
