Morning Lads , just received the news that my private club i'm a member of is closing next month . Just one of those things unfortunately , down to the recession etc .

As the thread says looking for a new club . Got a new[ish ] cue , new case , brand new set of balls turning up next week and nowhere to play .:(

I know a few clubs near to me but they are not really what i'm looking for . Does anyone know of club /s near me ?

I live in Sutton [ near Wimbledon] , don't really want to go to a Riley's .

Appreciate any help .

P.S Bought my Euromillions ticket , so fingers crossed i may well be able to buy my own club :D

Hi Neil, there is an ok snooker club in the centre of Epsom. It has an Aristocrat table too if you fancy a challenge.

Couldson has two or three clubs too, the epsom league is worth joining, loads of venues and good players.

Hi Jon ,

Thanks for your response

I've been playing in the Epsom snooker league for the last 20 years and i am also on the committee .
Couldson is a bit too far but Epsom is a possibility . Played on the Aristocrat this season . Club has just changed hands and i hear the owner is looking for people to use the club .

I was hoping that there would be a club that i did not know about that i could use . Played at all the ones you mentioned .

Got an AGM for the league in a couple of weeks . I may well be able to offer my services to a few teams..........would have to involve a transfer fee ! Not sure how much i could scrape together though ! :D

Ha, talk about teaching grandma how to suck eggs! You know alot more than I do about the area by the sounds of it. I play at a little con club in reigate called South Park, two tables, cheap light, nice people (mostly).

That's what i'm looking for , rather than on out and out snooker club . Need the social life as well . Hoping to get something sorted quickly . Need to practice .
