A small crack circle dot hole on the sd joint area

Hi

I would like to check with u all experience guys here how to solve this problems? i'm talking about under the cue butt just beside the sd joint area there got one small round dot cosmetic crack, the crack looks like a one dot, quite small, around this size, a small dot >>> O <<< many thanks for helping and replying.

Anyway this is a new cue belongs to my mate, he just bought it from the cue shop, i'm helping him to solve this problem or take it back to the cue shop, maybe advise him to
buy a cue butt protector.
