Hi folks, would be very grateful if somebody here could help me out and get me a good price on a decent cloth for a 8 foot table, or anyone still feeling the christmas spirit would like to sort me a cloth as a christmas pressie like...lol..:D:p...
Just wondering what would be the best cloth to use? i do want a decent cloth but not too sure if the strachan cloth sim to the use on pro tables will wear out too quickly, would love it to be close too a pro cloth but not if it's only going to last a few months... i dunno..
I'm going to try and recloth myself, what ya reckon my chances of doing a tidy job first time eh...:D
A few tips on how tight to fit to bed and a few pointers would be great,
Or anyone got any off cuts to do a 8 foot table and cushions would be even better...:p;):D
Been looking around on ebay and can't really afford too spend too much on a cloth at mo...:(
No cloth on table at mo, and itching to get it sorted out so it's playable aye..
So if anyone could help me out on a few tips or a cut price decent cloth would be very grateful to ya..
Thanks guy's...

Thanks Andrew, i assume it's 'full' width then is it?
I need enough to do a 8 foot table and the rails, so if i assume right i would have to order 3 metres, right! or wrong...:D
How long would that cloth last with say average usage?
Would that cloth wear quickly, if so what other options have i got for a quality cloth that i wont have to replace every few months like...:D

Gazza, your confusing two different types of cloth. 6811 Gold is now called 6811 Tournament and No 10 is still called No 10. Both are made by Strachan (milliken)

Still aint done much on this 8 foot table yet, still sat against my blinking wall gathering dust...;)
Anyways, These pocket plates here http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Brass-Pool-Billiards-Snooker-Table-Pocket-Bracket-Set-B-/150594415028?pt=UK_SportingGoods_SnookerPool_RL&hash=item23102069b4
The table i have here did have top rail pocket brackets, but i don't want to put them back on and would like 'proper' pocket plates when i do the re-furb. Too fit plates like these (or similar plates, just an example on ebay, anyone got anything i could use?) to a table is it just a case of drilling holes into the rails and slotting the plates in place? Or will i need to redrill holes on sides of table to refit the rails to get it re-aligned for new 'plates' and to get them too sit 'tight'?
Any help on this would be great guy's, must get this table done soon. or make a start.
Well i did make a start and i got stuck on a few screw heads rounding. the table being stored for gawd knows how long in not very good conditions the screws had corroded a little and i'm stuck with 2 or 3 screws stuck in 2 rails, can't get them out for the life of me aye..
I have got hold of a decent drill bit too try and drill the head off the screws, only thing i can think of nowi'll try that soon i guess...lol.
Can't do nowt till i get them 2 or 3 remaining screws out....Ahhhhhhhhh.. Nightmare it was, so close to completely stripping it but yet sooooo far away...;)
