Earlier today we had become aware that the user firefrets was a commercial entity trading on the forum as a individual, for this reason we choose to ban this member from trading on TSF, as per our rules all commercial partners need to seek permission form me to trade on TSF, this is mainly to protect you the members form rouge traders.

This member was given a infraction for abusing a member via private message, subsequently this member decided to delete all of their posts on the forum which again is against the forum rules.

The delete and edit posts function is there to help the moderation team more than anything so we so not have to deal with member who have double posted a reply or have posted a incorrect link in a thread and need to amend it.

When you delete mass posts it disturbs the natural flow of a conversation when you look back on a thread over time, this is also why we do not delete members on the forum as their posts will also be deleted causing disruption.

Because of the mass deletion of posts and the abuse of the report button I have banned firefrets for 3 months when his can access the forum again he will be put into the full moderation group which will mean that every post made will have to be approved by a moderator before it is seen on the forum, the edit and delete options will not be available to him neither will the private message features on the site.

Ferret, you are a proper pilock mate.
Firefrets is no more a commercial retailer than you are you big numpty.
He resigned from the forum because your team allowed another member to accuse him of ripping people off, and then the same little snide called cueman published firefrets private mail on the forum for all to see.
You even gave firefrets an infraction for somrething he wrote in a private message you total loon.
He deleted posts because some of the images put him at risk, and it is his right to delete his own images.
He's one of the nicest lads you could ever of had on your clap trap forum, and you blew it. I should know, as he's my dad you dick.

No doubt you'll ban me too, because of my not treating you like her majesty, but just remember mext time you want out off the lads etc you can do one. And puppet, you're flaming weird you are mate. Quit stalking us all lad. You'll end up getting locked up.

I'm off, and you're off it. And cueman you little sly muppet, I hope you're made up with yerself.

Don't you think you defending your father is just a little bit biased?

I differed with him over some coaching he did on here and I thought I was quite diplomatic in my comments, however he chose to rip into me and denigrate my coaching qualifications and the fact that I was never a professional player (which is true). I played in Britain in the late 80's when the pro game was closed except for the top 8 amateurs who had to play the bottom 8 pros for their tour ticket (when the pros challenged). I never made it to the top 8 over the 3 seasons I competed against the likes of Steve James, David Roe, Stephen Hendry, Martin Clark, Gary Wilkinson, Darren Morgan and a host of other great players who did turn pro and some of them made it into the top 8 or better. In the Snooker Scene Top 100 Amateur Rankings I did manage to reach somewhere around #30, so I could say against the competition at the time I have a respectable record and I still play competitive snooker here in Canada.

I thought your father was totally unfair in his comments since I have worked long and hard to get my coaching qualifications (note the plural) and also paid a lot of money and invested a lot of time in the UK to get certified to the point where I am now allowed to certify Master coaches worldwide under the IBSF system.

I also do a lot of coaching here on TSF and I believe, judging by the return comments, that I've helped a lot of players to improve to a point where they enjoy the game more and more importantly encouraged to get down to their club and practice and play more and get even more enjoyment from snooker.

So I have to ask you, do you or your father do this? The whole point is to increase the number of players and also increase their enjoyment of snooker, not to argue with people like myself who are trying to do that.

Terry

Hi Guys

I have been in contact with Firefrets for a couple of weeks now after he made an appeal for any Badge makers. I offered to help him out with a Custom Badge. In my dealings with him he has always been polite, helpful and insightful. I have read through a few of his other posts and he does readily give advice and opinion, sometimes controversial, to which hopefully some people have benefited from.

To the best of my knowledge he does not operate a commercial venture, despite any comments that have been made.

I do believe that a Private Message is exactly that and should not be shared publicly, if it is offensive or unsolicited it should be reported to the moderation team who we trust to act accordingly.

Thanks to everybody on this community for their help and support.

firefrets sent me a support ticket and here is the reply;

Here are the full forum rules, I suggest you pay close attention to the section - Image content and text posted on TSF

As for image copyright, bluff called, I expect to hear form your lawyer within 48 hours, by the way I also own the hosting company which TSF is hosted with and am one of only 3 freelance photographers on the main tour so know more about copyright than the average person.

The images you refer to are not hosted nor have they been uploaded to the forum so please goto the source website which hosts them to be removed.

As for posts that put you at personal risk there is no evidence of this so none of your posts will be removed.

The full forum rules are here - http://www.thesnookerforum.com/board/announcement.php?f=3

Remember that just because people say they are someone on a forum does not mean they are that person, we had firfrets saying that Slippery Shaft is his best mate and a professional player called Mark now it turns out that Slippery Shaft is actually firefrets son, firefrets also says he is not a commercial seller but says he is on a private message!

Slippy Shaft I do apologise if you are a professional player as stated by your father but I have the email address's of 94 of the 96 current professionals and none of them match your email or geographic location. If you would like to verify your identity you can ask your manager to contact Kevin Smithers from TSF, at this point I would be happy to publish a apology to you but until then I can only warn TSF members not to do business with either your self or firefrets.
