There didn't seem to be a PTC 12 thread, so I thought I'd start one as it kicks off again this weekend.

I have to work today. I hate working when there is snooker on. :( Anybody lucky enough to be able to time off to watch the snooker today?

I should be finished work by midday....

So all being well I'll be able to catch the first snooker action of the year...... Can't wait!!:):snooker:

Tonight I might only get to see Hendry vs Fu. Could be interesting though. Two players who don't have much form.

Fu really is playing badly. He let Hendry win both those frames.

Well that century should help a bit.

Yes.

At 3-0, I thought this match would be over by now. Can Marco Fu pull it back?

Fair play to Stephen! I enjoyed that match.

PatBlock
6th January 2012, 09:48 PM
Me to, nice mini-come-back from Marco, and a little bit of vintage Hendry here and there. :)

Sportlemon seems to be working. I presently have Gould vs Grace on.

Gosh, that blue cannon into the pack was unlucky for Gould! He got through that so well. He looks like he's playing good :) :snooker:

I can't see David Grace winning this. It's a shame, because I wanted a David Grace vs David Gray match to confuse the Eurosport commentators.

Surprising miss that by Gould.

This Gould match is hard to watch. Not because of the standard, but because this stream is ****. I went and had a shower in frame three. Apparently Grace made a clearance when I was in the shower.

Bring on Eurosport's coverage. <cool>

David Grace back in. Can he take this match to 2-2?

What are you watching it on? I'm watching it on sportlemon and have been able to watch it easily? :) :snooker:

I too was watching it on sportlemon. And about every ten or fifteen minutes it would freeze, or go down for a few minutes so I missed something important. I think it's my computer, to be honest.

I've given up. Just waiting for it to come on Eurosport.

I would love Dave to win and save his main tour place for next season only a win can do that so he tells me...come on lurch!!

According to Michaela Tabb's website, she is supposed to be refereeing this;

Anyone seen her yet?

Bad luck Mark Allen! Broke down on a 147 attempt!

Good match between Mark Allen and Martin Gould.

Mags up next, but it's Hendry and Holty I am looking forward to.

Higginson isn't doing much to inspire any confidence he'll pull this back. Mags to lay the smack down on him, 4-0.

Apparently this is only the third meeting between Hendry and Holt. That's surprising, given how long they've both been in the game.

Wow, that green to cueball pot combo.

Hendry! :(

PatBlock

This has been a very entertaining match between Hendry and Holt, a nervy 6th frame takes it to a decider which I think will be just as edgy, as both players really want this win.

Lovely opening red from Stephen, which lead to a tidy 85 and the match.
Tomorrow's match against Maguire should be a cracker. :)

Hendry - Maguire 1 - 4 ?? had a very good look at Hendry & Maguire's cue here in Munich- Maguire seems to change cues as frequently as Ronnie ? Maguire will win the PTC12 here in Munich.

You think? I had Gould as slight favourite.

It's possible Mags won't beat Hendry, the way Hendry is playing. But the way Hendry has been recently, you keep expecting him to throw in a bad performance somewhere.

It's great to see hendry's long potting back put what's happened to his break building????

That green was absolute dog**** for a player of his class, though. He was cueing down on it a bit but it was such a bad mi****.

Maguire had the better of the run in the final frame, missed badly 3 or 4 times and didn't leave anything nice, but Hendry got his chance eventually and blew it.

I was hoping Hendry or Gould was going to win it.

Great with a win for Maguire. IŽd feared he would never win anything again, as he often loses his temper in matches.

Told you so;; - Maguire played solid all weekend, but to be fair - so did Gould up until his match with Joe Perry - still amazed how Gould can play with those glasses, they are just normal glasses - he must have a special way of looking through them when he is cueing the ball - I could only see the top rim from that position would annoy me no end. A number of players wearing contacts without it being public knowledge, seemed to work fine with them.
