Question: How often do YOU play Snooker/Pool?

Well, are you a keen player yourself or are you just a TV-fan? How often do YOU play Snooker or Pool? It would be interesting to know a little about how much people play themselves.

When I feel in a snookery mood, I could play for up to five hours a day, every day, but generally it's around about every day, if I can, for about 1-2 hours.

Play 2-3 times a week but mostly pool, I used to play snooker every week though I'm intending to from next week!

I don't have the money to play it much these days at my local cub, but i play on my table at home alot.

I hope to get my own pool table this year!
Getting out to practice can be a pain especially if I have town or cup matches on top of the league!
I tend to practice in Rileys at the mo and that's a bit dear. My pool team is moving to a Labour club where the snooker is 20p for 10 mins and the pool 20p a game so I'll be spending more time there.

I am a member of Rileys and my local club which is called east Grinstead Snooker club, both cost too much, How often do your clubs put new cloths on? I don't think they ever change them at my local club.

I don't the snooker doesn't get changed much at the clubs I go to!
Which are Preston, Blackpool and Wigan. I think the UK 8 ball get more attention in Wigan and Blackpool because they have some serious teams there. Preston does have a pro practice snooker table though. A couple of coaches give lessons there.

She doesnt stop me, I just can't drag myself away from her ;-) And no, we haven't only just got together!

I play World Championship Snooker on my PC 5 times a week. I used to play the real thing every week. I haven't played for five years now though.

I play pool every day though during the summer as I have my own (dodgy) pool table. Great way to while away the hours :D

I used to play pool 4-5 days a week for about 2 hours a day. Now I play less than once a month. The group of friends I used to hang out with were all 'bar friends' and I'm no longer in touch with any of them. And most of my current friends don't like playing pool with me for some reason. So I stick to mostly watching.

Do you guys play snooker mostly alone then (for practising purposes)? I play snooker way to less because nobody of my friends are so much interested in the game. And if they play, then it's not very serious at all...

And playing alone is so strange in my opinion.

I used to play with my kids years ago on our quarter size table. Now I just enjoy watching it on TV.

If you wanna improve and be a good snooker player then you will almost certainly have to devote some time to playing on your own. It is a good way to practice certain shots, different techniques, cue actions etc. It is also, when you get to the top end of the ability scale, a good way to fine-tune aspects of the game, like the length of your backswing or changes in your stance.

I still do if I'm playing poorly or know there is something wrong with my cueing, but I will always try to play somebody otherwise, normally for a couple of quid a frame, just to make it more interesting and to keep my concentration.

I play 1-2 times a week and it'll be the weekends since I'm always busy monday to friday.

I try to play a lot but only pool as finding a snooker oponent is near impossible.

Unfortunately even less people play pool in Korea. Hence i can boast an undefeated record in Asia in singles play as well as just one defeat in Doubles (well three on two play) and even that is contentious as apparently they have a rule that going in off the black is a loss of game.

I was not aware of this.

I play every friday night in our local club competition and occasionally in big comps. I dont play as much as I use to due to work ext and it shows in my game much to my frustration. Im not as serious anymore as I dont have the time to iron out my snooker with pratice due to family, work and kids. Still love the game though.
