What a cracking performance - being beaten 13-0 by Germany, I'm sure your country is proud of you.

It makes Andorra look like world-beaters.

I am sure Gary Johnson (former Latvia coach) remembers San Marino in his worst dreams! :D

Did Latvia suffer the embarrassment of a draw with the mighty San Marino, then? (I'm not suggesting they lost...surely they couldn't have...)

1-1. I think that was San Marino's first point ever in the official games!

That result probably explains why he's the former Latvia coach!

Exactly, DartsMadJohn. He became a former coach the next day after the match.

Great performance by Northern Ireland last night!

Also the San Marino match in the biggest win in a European competetive match.

(world record being 33-0!)

Have to give us Scots a wee mention. Another solid performance, bring on the big guns.

Mon the Tartan Army :D

Scotland and Belgium have always been my favourite teams when it comes to football.

Belgium, yes! Liked the team, especially in early 90s :)

Most notably people will note that I do not like the Dutch team, even though I'm Dutch. I can't stand the arrogance and how the media portrays them as demi gods.

I've been watching it for ten minutes and the score was still 0-0. Plus it was a pretty awful game. So I switched over to tennis and when I checked an hour later or so it was 11-0!
Anyway, did you know that mighty San Marino holds the record for the fastest goal in a FIFA game? Against England! 8.3 seconds :D

So will you watch them (Belgium) during EURO 2008 qualifiers? I intend to see the Belgium-Portugal game. But I'll be supporting Portugal! :p

Hopefully Elvaago will be watching the tartan army during EURO 2008 ;)

Looking at their group, I'm afraid I don't think so. ;)

Unfortunately I do remember this - I think David Gualtieri was the scorer. The reason I remember it so well is because that goal arguably cost England qualification (I believe it was the European Championships). We had to beat SM by 7 goals and the final score was 7-1.

At least it wasn't as embarrassing as Scotland drawing 2-2 with the Faeroe Islands!

Ooooh Scotland, shame on you, lol:)

J/k, I'm quite a bit Scottish myself.
