I haven't heard much about this company/shop on here, and I have never ordered anything from them, so I was wondering if anyone on here has brought a cue from them? Do they deliver on time? Do they provide tip shaping services?

They have a very good offer on Peradon 2pc cues. One cue costs £163 but is for sale at £99.

Thanks

I got my old cue from the Liverpool shop they are 100% OK!
Thurston actually own Peradon!
One thing I will say is that thier P&P prices are stupid!
I bought a case for my step son and was going to get it from Thurston until I saw the p&p price!
But if your saving £60 who cares!

I asked them a load of questions when I was considering buying a peradon cue from them a while ago.

They said they could fit a butt extension thread to any cue for £20 plus £23 for the mini-butt extension itself. They also told me that if you need a more exact weight specification (other than their specified Light, Medium or Heavy ranges) they can measure several of the cues they have in stock on their scales and choose a close match for you.

Make them work for their money!

Can anybody comment on their own cues (https://www.connectstores.com/thurston/sp_35983.html) in terms of quality of materials, finish and craftsmanship.

Thanks,

I used a Peradon for 6 years and it was fine!
A couple of mates have them and I've seen good and bad cues!
Some very good!
The thing with Peradon is they do make a lot of cues so your going to get some good and some bad!

Watford, I was asking about the cues they market with their own brand name (check the link given) not peradon.

Peradon being a subsidary of Thurston may or may not give an accurate reflection of Thurston's cue quality based on Peradon's.

The cues that are badged up as Thurston are actually made by Mastercue and have Thurston badges put on.
A friend of mine bought the Duke cue last year and I was pretty impressed with the quality for a machine spliced cue. The ash was very good quality as was the finish and it played pretty well too. He did go to a Thurstons shop though and picked it off the rack so that's not to say you'd get the same quality if ordering online.

Funnily enough I wrote a post saying they looked like Master cues but it didn't get posted (I'm a bit busy at work)!
Seems a strange thing for them to do doesn't it!

It is but then again when a large company like mastercue has a chance to sell even more cues even if badged up as something different they aren't going to turn away business.

Makes you wonder just how many other cue manufacturers do the same thing, it was rumoured that Parris once had their standard range imported and badged up but I don't want to get into that argument!

As a Peradon dealer I thought I would correct this post - Thurston do not own Peradon they are both part of the E.A Clare & Son Group Limited.

The cues that they have on their offer I would definately consider - they are all discontinued from the Peradon range (as of Sept '06) they have some great cues as some awesome prices - they are clearing out Peradon's old stock which is why they are so cheap. I can't compete so get one!!!

these cue were made by ukrit (mastercue) and the quality is ok other than weak joints, but not at that price! - try craftsman or o'min for quality at sensible money.

I would buy a craftsman cue but there is a lag time, which I am not fond of.

I am thinking about a new Peradon cue or Astral Galaxy cue:
