Short Butt Extension, telescopic or not?

I mean these 6 inch butt extensions, typically ebonized wood, but they are also available as telescopic extensions which go from 6 to 10 inches.

Which do you use/prefer? Is the telescopic mini butt extension just as good to play with as the classical wooden mini butt extension?

I don't think a telescopic butt extension (small one) is the best option. You use this extension mainly when playing in the middle of the table and for a "normal" (average height) player is 6" enough. Besides I don't think it would be comfortable to play with + 10" from hand...68" is a bit much to control...

I agree with Seraphim, the 6 inch wooden butt extension is just about perfect when the white is in the middle of the table... If the white is further than that, the rest would be a lot more handy. If u're not too comfortable playing with the rest like some players, i suggest u take 15-20 minutes daily to practise rest shots... u should start feeling the improvement quite soon :)
