  • Rarest cue of them all

    Hi

Im an amateur cue collector and ive built up a small colection of cues which im quite proud of.

i was just wondering what the rarest cues are to find incase i come across any.

if people could post what they think the rarest cues are i would greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks

            Hi Craig,

..........and don't know too much about rare cues, , but Tom Newman, Charlie Dawson, Joe Davis cues would be a good find. Some of the great old snooker and billiards champions.

            Lol....xx

                Hi Hege,

No wonder it's called 'The Intimidator'..... , I can honestly say I don't think I've ever seen a cue like this before, really quite something.

Like the idea of a fantasy cue though, , and interesting to read that they started out with a piece of stainless steel weighing in at around 82 pounds, and through machining over a year managed to reduce this to 9 1/2 pounds. Incredible.

And you can't really miss the four bladed wings either, can you imagine playing with this? The whole look of it actually reminds me of a weapon that perhaps an old medeval soldier might use, or from that time period anyway. And something that you may find displayed in an old country house, if the wall could take the weight.

..........and I'll be interested to read the guys' comments as well, but great find, and certainly very rare indeed......

                Lol....xx

ye olde ash with a red ash shaft (the first ones) would be pretty rare - well i have never seen one! - handspliced walter lindrum cues are always worth a bit - look out for the one with a globe on the badge they fetch a grand or so - if you come accross anything interesting feel free to e-mail me - i would know the people who might tbe interested in it aswell! what do you have in your collection?

a walter lindrum 1929 worlds record break cue ? - there was another dated 1932 - it was maybe worth 300-400 as a one piece and maybe 80-120 jointed!
