  • Wrist in line with the forearm?

    Hi everyone
These days I am changing the way I take stance and hence I got this question
I tried playing with the grip in line with the forearm and the cue stick
For this I have to keep my wrist dead straight and in line with the forearm
Is it fine to grip in this way?
Any leading player who plays this way?

I think generally its best to keep the wrist straight to reduce movement from left to right but players adopt different styles so its whats more confortable to you. Some pros keep the wrist straight some have it sticking out.

as MrR has said, its basically your preference.

trial and error. if it works for you, then go with it....(generally what seems natural to you ends up "your best" as youre more comfy with "it")

        Thanks guys
It is a little uncomfortable to start with but may be in the beginning since I am changing the technique
BTW, is there any site where grips of top players are shown etc?

I have worked out with this subject also. I used to play with my wrist sticking out to the left ( i'm left handed) but i noticed that i turned my wrist inside while playing the shot so my wrist was straight after the shot.

So i did some chances do my grip and now i play my wrist dead straight so i don't have to turn it.
