Andy tells me that he didn't bid on this one, it was the two-piece cue he went for.

i think its the 2 piece people are talking about - but with two on it gets confusing!

                    Morning everyone.

                    Hi Oldgit

Yes both Roberts cues on Ebay are real and very rare, the secret joint cue is a nice cue, shame about the badges, wont go for £600, maybe half that, but ebay is a funny thing, as i have discussed with ADR147 on a few occasions, cues can either go for £50 or £500 just depends on how many people are after the same cue.

Something is only worth what people are willing to pay.

Both cues were verified by andy hunter who is as everyone knows the leading expert on cues.

Nice to see a few nice rare cues on ebay, hasnt been much on lately.

Has anyone read the listing by lennoxbird about counterfeit cues, very interesting and helpful, didnt realise how may fake burwat champions there were out there.....

                      Morning m8

Yes, I was talking to Tony Ions a couple of years ago and showed him a 'Burwat Champion' that I had recently bought and he told me it was one of his copy cues!! He also told me that he had been making Burwat Champion copies for so many years that a huge percentage of 'Burwat Champion' cues out there were his copy cues!! He told me that many original Burwat Champion cues were nothing special.

                      Where is the lennoxbird listing?

interesting stuff - andy hunter told me he knew nothing about that though! - i would not buy a ye olde ash without having it authenticated by tony ions! as for burwats to be honest there might be a lot of fakes but they are worth about the same money anyway so its less important. and at least its possible to play with a tony ions cue!
