  • Craftsman Victor Burr Wood Cue

I received my victor cue today and am pleased with it. Bearing in mind im pretty much a beginner I have little to no knowledge of what makes a good cue. (Partly the reason I joined this forum). However, the weight is very much in the butt of the cue and I've always used cues where the weight has been spread throughout the cue. Is this something that you can get used to, because on trying it out today it almost felt as though i was snatching a lot of shots.

Another thing I should add is that at 6ft5 I am glad that the one I received is slightly longer than most cues, (it was actually the only one they have in the showroom at the present time), and it makes a big difference.
You have to be 100% behind someone before you can stab them in the back.

The balance point can vary quite a bit 12"-17" even more perhaps. All down to personal preference but for most the first cue you play exclusively with for a while will dictate your preference for years.

balance point on that cue should be about where the joint is. they are good cues for the money.
