  • thanks for the tips

Just popped into say that I have been reading all the posts on the cue discussions. Some really helpful advice. In the end I was choosing between Craftsman and Stamford.

Wanted to get something really special.

Now after much deliberation and consideration I have just bought a cue from Stamford. I know you should go and handle them to pick the right one but I wanted it as a Christmas present for my father who loves snooker and plays in his local league in Canada. Helps also that they have a really nice website as well as all the reviews you wrote because I know his going to be googling the name for info and to impress his mates

The only downside is he is going to say 'wheres the case'?

Correct me if I am wrong but I am assuming that some one who is not a serious player and is just getting into it doesn't need to try every cue in the shop or get one custom made.

I am sure after his playing with nothing but broom handles and the house cues the Stamford cue will be like discovering treasure even though the spec may not be 100% spot on.

After getting his first proper cue and all the info I have learned as well as where to get custom cues with more lead time the next one might be order from Trevor. Couldn't find his website (post the URL if there is one)? If not perhaps I can trade him a website for a cue

    Thanks for your help!
