        Coaches

        Hi Danny,

We're building up our links with coaches around the country. We're forever getting emails from people across the UK and beyond asking for coaching so we're deciding to do something about it. We'll soon have complete UK coverage so that members of the site are able to quickly find a coach in their area. Take a look here at the MaXimumbreak Snooker Coaching page - we are yet to find a coach based in Manchester but there's Mick Caddy in Preston; Neil Johnson in Liverpool and Jimmy Michie in Pontefract. I'm sure that one of these would be interested so long as you're willing to do lessons in blocks perhaps?

We've got two more coaches ready to go up along with information about myself, Neil Cummins and Neil Johnson, creator of the Gravity Cue, owner of the Liverpool Snooker Academy and a fantastic coach.

Get in touch if you need any more information

          Thanks for the info MB.

I will look into this, and keep hoping that a Manchester coach makes himself/herself known somewhere soon.

Hi Snooker Warrior, I left this one on the 'back burner' for a while and you have probably forgotten all about it by now.

Do you have any update on Craig Steadman or John Farnworth availabilty for coaching ? :snooker:

I remember there being a few coaches in Mancheater. There was a list of snooker coaches in the North West on the BBC Lancashire website but I can't find it now.
There was a list up in Blackpool Rileys of local coaches too. I remember there being one in Withington.
Can the Snooker clubs in Manc not help, there's Rileys is the Rainbow near the Hacienda still going?
Stephen Rowlings is in Preston and Chorley area:

                      He's a good lad!
There's Mick Caddy in Lancashire too!

                          Cheers guys.

Now you mention it Watford, i remember seeing that bbc lancs list at some point. This definately sounds like a good lead. Hopefully i remembered to bookmark it, will check my home pc when i get home from work. Or knowing my luck it was bookmarked on my old, now broken, work pc

The Rileys clubs i know of dont look that promising as leads TBH. The staff in general dont seem to be much into snooker atall. Withington Club is private members only.

Hey fellas....I live half way between Bolton and Manchester, and play at Stretford, for the team there....think there is an ex professional/current professional, who now coaches too - his name is James Leadbetter. Hope this helps your quest Danny Dog....Can prob get hold of his mobile, if its any good to ya?....And if ya fancy a bash over the summer mate, yell! Can come to Chorlton, no worries...

Fraid Ledz isn't a coach and what's more he's packing his bags and going off to New Zealand to do his pilot training, so he won't even be playing around the Bolton area.

One good coach I know of not far away is Stephen Rowlings at Preston.
