    I think thats what this type of shot is called (please correct me if i'm wrong!)

    Can someone tell me where i need to strike the CB for this shot and the general technique?

      Slightly above centre strike on the cue ball.

      Where you want the ball to finish (ie – how much power to use) is determined by -

      A) The distance between cue ball and object ball – You will need to increase the power the further away the cue ball is from the object ball to maintain the slight top spin on the ball.
      B) How much run through you need – if the cue ball is close to the object ball generally less power is needed although this may not be the case if the ball you intend to play on is quite far from the object ball.

      This is why the shot is widely regarded as a very hard shot to pull off with accuracy. It’s all about practice
