  • Snooker Stance

Hi i'm a newbie! i understand that the stance is very important while potting. I'm a right handed, so that means my left leg should be placed in front of my right leg. Should i put my body weight on my left leg or right leg? or perhaps both? How do i know if which stances work well for me?

best to watch the snooker pros and try to copy a similar stance. weight distribution will differ slightly, but if you copy "the average pro stance" it will become apparent where your weight goes. good luck

        Hello,

Stance is not terribly important as long as you are stable and comfortable. For right handed people left leg should ideally be bent and right leg straight. Weight slightly forward which enables you to cue through the ball.

There are pictures of an example stance on my website at www.snookercoaching.net

        Hope this helps.
