  • Snooker academy...

    Hi,

I'm an amateur from the Netherlands and am looking for snooker coaching possibilities, preferably a course of a week or so. I tried a couple of Dutch coaches, but that wasn't what I was looking for. I visited Chris Henry in Belgium once and found that session extremely helpful, but it would be too expensive for me to go to him more often (although I would definitely benefit from that, as I use his comments to learn from even after two years...).

So, the bottom line is: are there any good courses that you can recommend that can have me for a week or so?

Ps: it would be great if this was in or near a holiday location so I can bring my wide and the kids for a holiday. The kids are 1 and 3 years old.

    Thanks for letting me know.
    Bart.

Just for some starter information, you could look at the World Snooker Academy.

I've done that, but there's no information on schedules, courses or the likes. They do mention that they are there for the young, upcoming and promising players (which I hardly am at 43, playing for about 20 years and only the one century behind my name :-). But, I'll write them and maybe they will take me on, even if it's just to sponsor some young guns :-)

Terry Griffiths Matchroom (Terry and Wayne coaching) are also holding summer schools again this summer, as well as always being available for private bookings.

        see www.terrygriffithsmatchroom.co.uk for further information.

That looks just about what I was looking for. Now, the convincing of the family begins :-)
