  • Aramith Premier balls

The club we play snooker has really poor balls, they're old, waisty, with scratches etc.

So I'd like to buy my own snooker balls to take to the club. How about the Aramith Premier? I guess it's the "cheapest" line of Aramaith but I assume they're still pretty good. Any experiences?

They are very good from my experiences.

Bit light really, I used them for a while just to see what the quality was like, perfectly decent for club tables, especially if the cloths are heavy and slow but if you play to a good standard then the TC's are the only balls to use.

I'd say the tables where we play are quite slow, yes.

I think they are worth getting then. The TC balls are heavier and are better on quicker more responsive cloths. They have got to be better than the balls you are using though.

I have an aramith premiere set, and a aramith tournament. The best balls are Aramith Tournament, or crystalate. Aramith premiere balls are lighter and not so shiny. These are better than the chinesse balls , but anyway the tournament balls are expensive but are much better on any type of cloth.

Yes, without a doubt the Tournament set is the best, Premier is a good second best.

Some think Aramith balls are too light, but they are good though.

Yes Bongo, I think they are a tad too light, I'll leave the good part for other contributors to comment on.

As a matter of fact, can anyone here say definitively what weight the earlier balls were for the so called standard 2-1/16 inch diameter?

It's amazing how much difference playing with good balls makes! Although if you forget them one time you're supposed to be playing, you'll realize how poor the club balls really were. The balls at my club are terrible.

absolutely right. I wasn't aware how big the difference can be as we played only with club balls before. but it's another world really. it was so great to play with these new Aramith balls and it's funny, but we both played never as good as today. I made my highest break so far today (no, I am not going to tell you how high, it would be to embarrsing) and we played some great snooker and safety shots.

                            wow, I love snooker!
