  • Snooker cue makes

Hi. My name is christopher and I play 8 ball pool in scotland. I have recently broke my cue and have been offerd a cue by the make of KCE. Now I have not heard of this make but it may just be because I dont know much about cue makes. The cue I broke was the only one I have had. Now could someone please tell me how much KCE cues are worth as I am being offerd one for £60 that has been used alot but he says it is in really good condition. So thanks in advance and not trying to be demanding or anything but could someone respond fast as I am going to a tourney tomorrow and really need a cue.

If its a nice cue and you play well with it then why not . It might have been tapered for pool for instance and that would have cost about 15-20 quid. But it's not an expensive make, I had a couple off ebay in the past for about 15 quid each(or the last one I got for 25 in a case). Pretty good cues for a cheap make though

Thanks just had a look on ebay and one is selling for 10 pound lol. But in the description it says they bought it for 300. (Is someone telling fibs?) Oh well the guy I know is offering a case with it too so might be worth it.

it is unlikely to be worth that.

Exactly and for that reason alone he would,nt be getting my money . I just cant be assed dealing with dishonest geezers . Unless your really desperate and have tried the cue and like it then i would,nt but , but if you have and do like it then offer him the going rate say £20-25 .

Cant you borrow a cue for a day , if you were living by me i,d lend you one .

The cue may seem like the dogs danglies to you thats until you try a craftsman . mastercraft etc , and others that are really good cues and wont rob the bank .

Cheers mate. Thing about borrowing one is that it is a junior event and my dad and the people who I know that play pool are playing in the senior one. But its okay will manage to borrow one for the day. Thanks for all the responses. Can anyone recommend a place online to buy a cue from that is located in the UK.

If its a pool cue youre after mate I would personally go for one of the production peradon ones. Look at peradon pulsar on ebay at about 80 quid. Bear in mind the tips are small but thats the norm for pool, you could get the seller to send 2, then pick 1 and send the other back for a refund, thats what I would do. Ask for weight around 17 oz

Hi, sorry ive took long to reply. I have only had one cue before and it was a JX17. Not the best and its a chinese make but I hit really well with it. Im looking to be spending £50 and under. It may not be alot but im 16 and still at school so money is hard to come by. Weight wise 18-19OZ and length im not too sure. My cue that is broke now was 145cm but I had a cue extention. Oh yeah and I prefer a 3/4 size. Just got a case for christmas that is a 3/4 and tried a 2 peice and didn't really like it. The reason why I said in the uk was postage reasons because I don't want to pay 50 for a cue and then it costs like 20 pound to post it.

Oh yeah forgot to mention tip size. Well tip size for me does not really matter because I know a guy who does my tip for me and if I need it smaller then he fixes it. I think I have an 8mm tip not too sure.
