  • Hello...!

    Hello everyone.

Just noticed this section so I thought I'd pop a message on to say hello and give abit of background :snooker:

Been interested in snooker for along time. Always used to watch it with my great uncle as a child.

I spent alot of time in the pool hall during my college years and had a pool table in my home for a few years.

I've been playing the real deal (snooker) for about a year now. Max break is 26, rattled the blue in the jaws and missed the 31. I've still not been able to break 30 - missed a few 30+ balls actually.

Would you guys say I'm doing ok, I really struggle to keep on top form and play really poorly at times which can be very frustrating. I've never played as well on a snooker table as I used to playing pool at college

Practice , Practice , Practice Dean . Sounds like you are progressing well .
I found by playing and watching better players that your game improves . Once your crack the 30 they will then come around like buses . Another tip , when you get to the 30 + ball pretend that it is the 1st ball in your break .
Oh yes , welcome to the Forum .
Still trying to pot as many balls as i can !

Thanks Neil. I think that's my issue. Pressure causing a bit of a mental block and lack of focus. On my 26 break the blue would of went down if I'd given it a chance, I lost all concentration and didn't half welly it.

Going for a few frames tonight so I'll keep my head and see if I can break the 30 barrier
