  • Recently moved to March area, Cambs

    Hi everyone
I have recently moved near March in Cambridgeshire and was wondering if anyone knew of any decent clubs to play at, or maybe someone fancies a game. I play snooker and 9 ball pool, but have played neither for ages. Cambridge is a bit far, so any help would be appreciated.
    Cheers
    Tony
I went into a chemist and asked for a deodorant, the assistant said "ball, stick or aerosol", "No, I want it for under my arms!" was my reply.

Well years ago I used to play at the two clubs in Wisbech and both were great. Not sure if they're still there these days.

There used to be several clubs in Peterborough too, which isn't too far away.

I remember there being a nice one in Wisbech, I actually bought my cue case from there.... Unfortunately, can't remember exactly where it is or what it was called!!!!

Cambridge snooker Centre might be worth a trip, I heard of a bloke who apparantly practices there having moved from Australia with a dream of being WORLD CHAMPION....... Neil something or other

Hope you have success finding a good place :snooker:

          Hey Mick Dundee,

The Maltings.... Spent a fair few hours in that place!!!! I think the snooker club I knew in Wisbech was run/owned by Ian Gerrard!!! My brain hurts now.. I've been thinking too hard!!!

As said above Cambridge snooker Centre is your best bet

Robertson, Perry and a few others practice at that club.

Thanks for the advice, did think about travelling to Cambridge, but maybe a bit too far. Just really looking for somewhere a bit more local. Not played for ages so my standard will be worse than poor!! I guess I just wanted a local league or something, so I can get back into it slowly.

Thanks Mick - I actually worked in both clubs at one time so should have remembered and played in the League for Supercue!
