  • Hi all

    Hi,

New to the forum so hi to everyone. I am rubbish at snooker but I love the game. I love it so much I have built an out building to have a second hand club full size table in it.

Hope to get some tips here to improve my game.

    Benson

strongbone Welcome to the Forum. This is a great place to pick up tips on the game. You'll be the envy of lots of the Forum members given that you can afford the luxury of your own table. To improve your game you'll probably still need to get down your local club and play against a variety of players. Maybe you're not bothered about getting better but happy to have a "knock" with a few mates on a Saturday night?. Nothing wrong with that!! Have you sorted out a good cue for yourself?

I have a hand full of people I play with, I have a newborn and no longer go out let alone to the club.

I do have a good friend who is really good at snooker but by getting trashed everytime I don't feel my game is getting any better. I managed to fit in 1 hours of practice 3-4 times a week.

I may drive to John parris and have a look at cues although I have no idea of what is good :P I guess the one feels most natural to me is good.

At the moment I have a 90 cue craft which is too heavy and a cheapo 30 quid cue which I can play better with. I think I have a budget of 200 max 270 for a good last a life time cue

got your own table and wanting a Parris cue already - like your style
Maybe that cue ive offered to you on the other thread may be too heavy for you then ??

Please don't get me wrong, I am not rich but I do love the game and will do my best to improve.

I remember the cue craft I have is 18 zo and that feels too heavy and it is heavy at the butt end if that make any sense?

I say I am rubbish because I am inconsistence, often rackless and throw a game away under pressure.

I'm sure that's not true, but if it is - fancy a best of 5 for a grand?
