  • Rules of the Game

The new snooker room here is coming along nicely. The cue rack is actually on the wall although that wasn't easy as there is a very thin sheet lining to the wall backed by insulation. I have had 1 chalk box stolen (don't ask) so keep the second one locked away!

I would like a framed copy of the rules of the game. I can get framing done here very cheaply so wondered if anybody knows anywhere on the internet where I can download an attractively produced set of rules suitable to be framed. A facsimile of an old set would be ideal.

Before anybody tries to sell me a set I am not interested in an antique, oak framed etc. etc.

Philip, congrats on the progress with the snooker room. have you posted any photos? Wouldn't mind a framed copy of the rules myself. Let me know how you get on if you don't mind.

      Hi,

Poster of current snooker rules can be bought here: http://www.snookerdirect.co.uk/acata...Billiards.html

Old rules posters (reproductions) can be bought here: http://www.hamiltonbilliards.com/pro...les/index.html

Hope this helps, and good luck with your snooker room,

Sorry, Andy, you have lost me there. If you are talking about the Chinese ue I bought- it is just a rack cue. ABsolutely no better than any of the others on the rack. So I suppose, a year later, I am on the look out for a good cue but have had other things on my mind.

Bongo, I think those sources will be useful. Thank you.

Philip The old rules for a fiver look to be good value but I wonder if it would be confusing for folks having to remember how the rules have changed? The modern poster doesn't look as nice to have framed and hang on the wall and at £15 looks a bit expensive.

              Pending getting anything else...

I have got some rules- just in a word document- and might try to set them out attractively and print them onto some textured paper. If they look OK I can go with those. If they don't I haven't lost anything!
