  • one foot on the ground

    Salam,
I hope to put a few threads up starting by " one ... " . Here is the second one : " one foot on the ground "
    Snooker Rules,
    SECTION 3. THE GAME
    12. Penalties
(ii) striking when both feet are off the floor

many pro players start the game when they where not tall enough to level to the table. What did they do then?

There is one instance where players can play legal shots with both feet off the floor. Anyone know it?

                one foot on the ground

                Salam,
Ronald Antonio "Ronnie" O'Sullivan achieved a century break at the age of 10 (making 117). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ronnie_...n#Early_career

Do you think he had one foot on the ground?

I'm sure I remember watching Ronnie play a shot where he untied his lace and had that dangling so it was on the floor, player the shot with both feet off the ground (but his lace, attached to his shoe, on his foot was touching the floor) and the referee didn't call a foul. Can anyone -
                  a) remember seeing this
                  b) Confirm if the referee called a foul or not, and
                  c) Answer IF the referee should have called a foul.
                  Thanks.
If you want to play the pink, but you're hampered by the red, you could always try to play the brown!

Well its a foul if "striking when both feet are off the floor" so pretty sure a shoelace doesn't count as a foot
So indeed a foul should of been called

I would call a 'foul' just as I would call a 'foul' if a thread was hanging from a player's sleeve and it touched a ball.
