  • Tips for safely puchasing a used cue?

I'm considering purchasing a used snooker cue from this forum and am curious if anyone has any suggestions on how to safely purchase a cue.

Is there any method to determine which forum members are trustworthy besides basing it on the total number of posts they have?

I don't think anyone has ever had a problem before.
If you pay by paypal that covers you if anything goes wrong
Be brave lol.....what you fancy buying?

Paypal it is then. I'm glad to hear this problem on TSF is few and far between.

I've purchased several pool cues from a different site and sadly scammers do surface on occasion. Fortunately that user community is pretty tight-knit and will flag (and tar and feather them) pretty quickly.

The cue I have my eye on a 1-piece ash O'min cue. I currently play with a 3/4 jointed cue but would like to try a 1-piece and have heard good things about O'min. I also fired an email off to TW to see how much one if his basic cues would run me.

@checkside - My rationale being that if they have many posts they might be more inclined to keep their word for fear of getting banned. Naive perhaps, but there's not much else to go on.

Most people on this site are pretty sound, so I wouldn't worry too much.

That's great news. I like to start out really skeptical and then adjust backwards.

            Thanks guys.

I have been the member of the forum since July 2006.I'm one of the oldest members.
I have sold cues to the forum members, ADR147,Khizzy,Stu[Greenbaize] to name a few.
I understand your concern but there is nothing to be worried about mate.

If you have any doubts feel free to ask.

              Kind Regards,
              sunny
