    Hi
Our Club are trying to organise for the members a speed snooker evening , like the one in my home town [ ish] Blackpool .

Could any member post the basic rules , [ time per shot , etc ] covering this event, so i can replicate the format at my club .

    many thanks

If you have two tables you dont really need a shot clock as players can go head to head on adjacent tables, the one in the Manchester League involves players clearing the colours, and first one to do it wins through to the next round (I'm not from that league but was speaking to their secretary at the weekend about possibly trying one ourselves this year). Though not sure what happens if theres a foul shot, I'd maybe suggest putting the last ball potted back on the table as a penalty in such cases to stop people just tapping the cue ball into an open space without striking anything and thus leaving an easy pot.

Theres also a facebook page for speed snooker, but that seems a totally different form of the game so I don't think there's any hard and fast rule.
