  • Shot of the day!

Post your shots of the day here.......

I've been on a course all weekend so not had time to post this, but during my last match practice against one of my fell ow team mates for next seasn last week I played what I believe to be my finest ever shot!

Cue ball was about 4-6" away from the green pocket and cushion and the red was about 2" away from the bottom corner pocket, I slamed the red in and at the same time stunned the cueball 3/4 across the table to land perfectly on the black which had another red tightly next to it which meant I had to be mm perfect to get to the potting angle, to be honest I have no idea how I played the shot so well and got the mm perfect position but I'll take that anyday, made sure of the black to afterwards to do justice to such a great shot!
    One day I'll make a century, I've knocked in a 51!

Mine was a deep screw on the pink, missed it completely whilst the cue ball flew above the pink and straight into the corner pocket where the pink was supposed to go. Well, at least it drew laughter.

Slammed in a long blue into the gree pocket with the cueball near the bottom right hand side pocket, came off the top cushion and got perfectly straight on the pink for and easy roll in for the black.

Wish I'd been filming it as any player in the world would have been proud.

Played earlier against my dad for a couple of hours, my shot of the day was probably a brown into the green pocket. I was on a 23 break at the time and needed an angle on the blue to splatter the pack as I'd picked off all the loose reds. Potted a red for 23 and landed dead straight on the blue, in a straight line with the yellow spot, if that makes sense! Decided to play the brown off its spot into the green pocket, top spin with a trace of left hand side - baulk cushion, left cushion just above the middle pocket and bosh! Opened the reds with 4 coming out nicely to mop up with blacks... that was until I missed the first black after splitting the reds haha!

Haha, yes it's very annoying when you miss after a great shot! I'm really trying to knuckle down after a great shot and try and make it count at all times, even if it's just a single colour or red after the pot, at least it's not a complete waste of such good shots.

Yeah I tend to look TOO far ahead, I see the balls split nicely and think to myself "Hey, there's a few on here", whereas really I should just be concentrating on the doing the basics.
