old peradon and fletcher 8mm tip cue with wooden threads and joint.

Hi guys can anyone shed some light on the cue I recently discovered in my grandas attic. I have never seen a 2piece cue with wooden threads instead of brass! Id be afraid to use it!!!! plus the tip is at least 8.5mm. Cheers!

loads of them about they made 1 for embassy for the championships in 70-80s

Do you have any photos?
My old cue that I have had for over 25 years had a wood screw (replaced ages ago due to a crack) and has a 8.2mm tip but I have never known the make.
Can you add photos on here so I can compare with my memories of the screw.
