  • Update of my snooker and seeking advise!

7months playing snooker. high break of 22. recently worked on alot on technique and area around black.
Joining my first tournament soon. beginner tournament, u21- amateurs. 10-20break standard.

I have high hope of at least the semis if i keep my head cool and dish out my natural form.
using a house cue.. but promised myself to get something decent if I show some result in this tournament.

I would like to ask, how to prepare myself mentally for it? format will be - 16 man single elimination, best of 3 frames. finals or semis maybe 5 frames.
how much should i practice before the tournament, and perhaps on the actual day?

    Cheers!

To be honest I know you have only been playing 7 months but if your highest break is 20odd then I am guessing something is wrong with your technique or you only play once a fortnight or something. Keep working on your technique and try and play 3 times aweek.

Back to the tournament. Everyone prepares differently. However make sure you enjoy it and only worry about trying your best. If thats not good enough then learn from your experiences. Good luck

Perhaps try posting a video of you playing, side view and rear view and seeing if some of the people on here can help as well. Usually quite a friendly bunch :0)
