  • Frank Adamson - Coaching from Bristol club

Had my Bristol and District booklet yesterday for the start of the new season, on the back page was an advert for coaching by Frank Adamson at the Eastville club (just off the M32 by the big IKEA.).

Not sure how much he charges but will put the contact number of the club on here when i get home, cant get anything from google for love nor money.

Top bloke too. I saw him back in the early 90's ( @ '92 ) and found him very good.

His number is quite hard to get hold off. His coaching is very reasonably priced but I think he does it more for fun now rather than financial gain. Top guy and a top coach no doubt.

Just a silly thought we spend a lot of time trying to find the right cue, has anyone been told by a coach to change cues or tips even?

I would very much doubt it.

so why waste £700 on a cue?

Well, it's a little different story for me. Some of my students will show up with really bad older Dufferin cues, centre-joined and varnished or else one of those really cheap Riley varnished cues. While they are here for their lesson I ask them if they want to use a nicer cue and they normally do and the odd time they will buy the cue they used.

I have seen some pretty rancid cues over the past years.

haha, I had a Riley 3/4 cue, it was heavy and was so heavily varnished. Think it weighed over 22oz. At the time, Terry, I thought it was the dogs..
