  • Help needed.. badly..

firstly, whatever standard of snooker mention here is sub par amateurish. ( below 20 breaks)

Had been to a very badly organised tournament but still there was money at stake - 3.5months ago.

Wants to do better, bought a cue and been training with it for 1.5months.
Had a selection for school team match earlier and play what possibly the worse snooker i had for quite some time.
Did prepare hard for it, self practices.. etc etc. Felt confidence going into it.
In the end play super badly, could hardly pot balls. Realize stance was going off, cueing off, feathers are off, eyes are retarded. Tried to correct it, to no avail. Realize i am losing, legs get wobbly. Get just so tired.

The standard there, i could have used 20points adv and still win comfortably. in the end, just managed to scrape past and got through. I AM PISSED AND NOT PLEASED WITH MYSELF.

    So, dear coaches/seniors, do advise.

    1.How do you properly prepare?
    2.Mindset when things go wrong
3.Mindset when things are going smooth.
4.DO you guys lose it totally like me? It is nervousness or just plain tired.

Lastly: this is a problem i discovered with myself.
When i start to lead comfortably, e.g. opp needs 1/2 snookers or, just 1 or 2 balls and i will wrap it up.
I starts to lose focus, starts to get all too comfortable, ends up losing alot of these frames.
The mindset of "just a few more balls, take it easy".................

Sorry for wall of text, its midnight here and i really dislike what happened earlier on.
Do note the low level basic snooker i am talking about here..

    Thank you in advance

to add: high break 22. Past week had at least 10 breaks above 10 points. So many 16 and 18.
And today I dint think I had anything above flukes of red and black...........

I'm no coach, but i think alot of our problems are routed in our heads, may be a confidence issue or poor technique, hopefully someone will more knowledge can help you out...
Don't let the fear of losing be greater than the excitement of winning...
