    Looking for steel blocks

Hi mate, if you're wanting tournament standard, I'd have gone with No. 10 cloth. The faster cloth makes the potting into a tight pocket that little bit easier.

For a true tournament spec table setup, you might also need to modify the slates for a vertical drop.

I've just recently done this to my own table so I know where you're coming from.

Advise wise, I'd try to get hold of an old set of b&w steels, then have them rerubbered and cut to your exact spec, then buy new wood cappings to make them look like new. The b&w steels I believe are thicker and better quality than what is commonly used today.

Maybe try giving Geoff Large a shout and see if he can do anything for you

They never use no10 for cushions, only 6811

I was talking about the bedcloth, and yes, they have in the past used no.10 for cushions, although it wears to quick

If its steels you want I have 4 sets of Burroughs & Watts steels, but they would need new cushions friezes and pocket plates adding. It's true tho they can be made into a perfect set of tournament match cushions. Have a look at this link
