Cues look very nice, but why is dowel in the bottom of the cue for weight and the grain filler is already on the cue, as I thought they should be done when cue is finished?
I am thinking of having a cue made. Could I see some of your shafts.

Yes for weighting the cue before I fit base joint!
I darken the grain early to see what it's like!
Also oil them to see what there like!

                    raymo147,
It would be nice to see your vast amount of shafts ,that you must have all at different stages all together for all to see
leant up in your workshop as we have seen plenty of pictures of finished cues having facing splices fitted,
because I would like to pick my shaft.

                        LOL

I started out with some pretty specific shaft requirements with Jason, until he

enlightened me about how difficult it is for the smaller cue maker to obtain specific shaft markings

( unless your willing to wait a long time for the right shaft to come along ).

In the end I appreciated that the playability must come 1st . . .

                          LOL!

I hope you use an axe and not a chainsaw.

                          ; )
My favourite players: Walter Lindrum (AUS), Neil Robertson (AUS), Eddie Charlton (AUS), Robby Foldvari (AUS), Vinnie Calabrese (AUS), Jimmy White, Stephen Hendry, Alex Higgins, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Dominic Dale and Barry Hawkins.
                          I dream of a 147 (but would be happy with a 100)
