  • Domain move bug report

Use this thread to report any bugs you may find, please keep in mind that and old link in a thread to the .com will not work you will have to manually copy the url into the address bar and change the .com to .co.uk

I will go into detail later and explain why we have had to move to the .co.uk domain and why you are seeing the GoDaddy notice on the .com

Our iOS and Android apps will not work at the moment, fingers crossed this will all be fixed within 28 days.

What about the empty array at the bottom of the page which is supposed to show who's currently viewing that thread, any chance we could get that fixed? Thanks.

I still have not been able to resolve that problem but will let you know when it has been fixed.

Just been looking at the sites analytics and everything is looking good, overall traffic is up, only by 0.56% but at least it is not down, since we moved to the .co.uk domain we have had 55,000 page views which is about average for 48 hours.

Can I ask everybody who has a Twitter account of Facebook account to please post a status message telling everybody that we are now on the .co.uk domain, I have sent out a email to all members but a small percentage of emails sent out by the server never reach their destination and we also have those people why have opted out of our email list who would not know of the change.

i will keep everybody informed on the progress of getting the .com domain back up and running but because the owners registration details have been filled out incorrectly when there was a recent change of ownership of the domain we currently do not have access to the domain, GoDaddy who are the registration company for the domain are helping all they can to resolve the issue but it could take 27 days for us to get it back in our control as there are things we need to do via snail mail to resolve the issues.

any question the just send me a pm or post I this thread, although I do lot condone spam please post where appropriate about our domain change and when doing this on other websites please respect their anti-spam policies, fingers crossed before long all members will find their way back to us.

The only conceivable reason for losing the .com is that you forgot to renew it and some domain name speculator nabbed it when it dropped. Why put your faithful users though this, its a real pain in the rear for everyone and not very professional.

Secondly, GoDaddy are a totally undesirable partner for domain registration services, just google them. Their owner Bob Parsons shoots elephants for fun, need I say more????

Hope you get everything back together soon.

        Hugs.

Finally I have fixed this bug.

It has taken 2 days of stripping the theme out and reworking how the forum lists members who are currently online on a page but its back and working which is great.
