  • Dunns cue

Has anyone bought a dunns cue in the last month or two? Happy with it? Cheers

I got one of their 3/4 cue sets. Great price for the quality, nice chevrons, evenly made splices and well balanced. i made a 60 break with it, silky smooth.

Mate of mine recently bought the Trump replica cue from Dunns and he loves it. Nice well made cue for the money and the butt is proper wood and not painted like some more expensive cues out there.

no he liked it lol but he must be used to like cheap argos cues and whent to that so it would feel like a parris cue to him lol for the money i would say go for a phoenix or master cue as for that price u dont get much better than them mate look on craftsman cues

Dunns cues are made in china, so the quality will be unpredictable, you may get a cracking looking and playing cue or it may be like mel147's... Best not taking a risk, better to actually get a feel for a cue and try it out if possible first, before committing to buy it, though there's brands that i would trust buying blind dunn's isn't one of them...

Thanks again guys. Unfortunately I can't try any cues before I buy coz I live in New Zealand, that's why your advice is so valued! Cheers

I own a dunns cue, plays very well, its a one piece, is light and smooth. Ive had a 71 with it and a high number of 50s. Dont listen to anyone saying 'theyre cheap' because I believe they are class

Never owned one but I think they are good value for money. Do a search, you'll find varying comments ranging from excellent to poor, I think at that price point its a bit of gamble as to whether you'll get a good cue. There is at least one professional player using one that I'm aware of and could be more, if they are good enough for a pro then I'm sure they are sufficiently good enough for an amatuer player.
