    Just my 5 cents worth . . . get a Trevor White!

Others will say JPs are worth the money but I think TW makes a fantastic cue.

I am saving up for another one! Maybe a maple this time.
My favourite players: Walter Lindrum (AUS), Neil Robertson (AUS), Eddie Charlton (AUS), Robby Foldvari (AUS), Vinnie Calabrese (AUS), Jimmy White, Stephen Hendry, Alex Higgins, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Dominic Dale and Barry Hawkins.
    I dream of a 147 (but would be happy with a 100)

I would say for the money a GBL is hard to beat if you want a keeper

in the end every single cue is different so the question can't be answered fairly but as pointed out above if you have pockets this deep there are many other makers out there.

That's a sweeping statement .........and one that , for me , is not true .

Yes Ultimates' are good but it's all down to personal preference .

Who says that if i gave you 2 cues , that you would choose the Ultimate . The other cue may play and suit you better .
Still trying to pot as many balls as i can !

Potblac is fedia with a new account Neil so of course he is going to say that, Ultimates are his bread and butter
                77 in a match, 97 in a line up

cant say I am a fan of the ultimate, had one and it was ok but not overly impressed. I now play with a trevor white which is just perfect in looks and playability. however if I had the money and had 2 years patience id prob get an ultimate, as if I don't like it, the retail value is higher than other cues. so you make money.

Personally Ultimates are a waste of money. I have seen plenty of new ones this year and the quality is not there. If i was you i would be looking at buying from one of the following cue makers.

                      Trevor White
                      Robin Cook
                      Tony Glover

They will make you a cue just as good if not better for a lot less money

I think that's more truth than opinion parris cues just arnt as good as they used to be. If your paying top doller for a cue I would go to either
T'white robin cook or dave coutts all one man bands all at tihe very top of the game who produce quality cue after qualty cue.

Out of the 3 makers above 2 have very long waiting times robin cook isn't even taking orders. Plus if your unsure about specs you might
Find the cue not to your liking when it comes. Gbl is a good choice they realy are quality cues on par with any plus you can choose from loads
And try before you buy if you go to stu's shop but to wnswer the original post imo parris ultimates are not worth the money.

Oh yes forgot about dave coutts..

Gbl cues are very consistent in quality also you have mastercue too.

I only brought the other makers into my post I mak the point if I wss spending that kind of money on a cue hoping to keep it I would look else
Where. That said and his as already been mentioned they do command a better resale value than any other cue. So if your buying to sell on
Then buy away if you buying a top cue fo the right reasons to play with look else where. I wonder why ultimates command a high pricei think its something to do with the nunbers if ultimates didn't have a number and the badge just read john pwrris ultimate cue I don't think they would go for half as much.
