  • joe davis champion cue

I have just bought a Joe Davis champion cue worlds snooker record 146 which is a bit scruffy and needs a new tip but it is straight the writing on the badge is red when the ones I have seen the writing is black this is also ash and the ones I have seen are maple. I paid 29.99 for the cue and 2.50 for retipping at our club was this a good buy or was I ripped off My hunch it is made by peradon around 1950/54 is this correct.

Red badges are known and yes Peradon around that time, considering he made the 146 in 1950 and the first officially recognised 147 in 1955
I think you got a nice example for a good price, definitely not ripped off
