Just ordered a new cue from stu at greenbaize a c4 1 piece ash with 4 splices of asian snakewood got my 1st gbl off stu back in
2007 since then had 4 1piece cues and 2 3qs and never been dissapointed with any. I was having a chat with stu about the quality
Of the gbl cue range which in my opinion is second to none and probably the best range of cues quality wise in the country at the
Moment. The only problem he told me that some of the shafts have been a bit hit and miss over the years looks wise not play wise
He got on to saying that this last batch of cues are probably the best he as ever had looks wise and playability and that Problem as been knocked on the head and is makers are sourcing some beautiful shafts. Just spent half a Hour looking through each class of gbl cues and the shafts on them are the nicest I have ever seen. Cue comes on Tuesday will post some pics if I can work out how.

Its cue 3 in the c4 section one with the 9.95mm tip 18.6oz if anyone wants to take a look

They do look nice but no nicer than the gbls plus your talking £600 for a cue you might not like when its made .
I take it your having one made not buying one he as in stock because when you come to sell it if it doesn't suit
I can't see you getting no where near the cash you paid back.

Yeah i think Maximus cues look nice (apart from butt finish, which Stu can sort out no problem), but i think they would be a massive loss financially come sale time, you may be better buying one from stock as that way you can at least try it out

Yeh I may just do that but I wanted single splice of snake wood , he has this in stock but with maple shaft and I want ash shaft.

I was thinking an ultimate with single splice of snake wood would be roughly 400-450 ? As some of his single splice ultimates are priced, a plain ebony ultimate is 350 so I can't be too far away with my guesstimate

Ultimate maximums and gbl cues are both very good. And Stu is a great guy to deal with.
