  • Omin Cues Copy or Genuine

    Hi all
Ive been reading some of the threads on here about omin cues and i am confused, i bought one off of ebay in a moment of madness cause it looked good, when i sobered up i realised id probably just wasted my money on a glorified chinese chopstick. Anyway after a week it turned up, post marked bangkok, which was surprising as it said it was in china, and to my amazement when i opened it there was a lovely oil finished one piece cue, with a hologram on it and a certificate of authenticity from omin industrial thailand. I took the cue to my snooker league match last night and played with it and i gotta say it plays awesome, superb feel, good solid hit, im amazed. I have many cues but this is by far the best i have ever owned. i strongly suspect it to be a fake, but i dont know, to be fair i dont really care as it plays so well, just thought i would add some input to all the confusion surrounding o'min, also i ordered a spirolock extension off ebay which is supposed to fit omin, phoenix and the like, although similar it doesnt fit. In some of the other threads i read about chinese cues having a small r, mine does not have this, all very confusing any input would be appreciated.
    Regards Trev

I have sold and very much like these cues but now I do not know which are real and which are the Chinese copy so I stay away. The only guide I go on now is that the copies are much cheaper.

I Know, But it plays so well, and didnt come from china even though that was where it was listed, also enlighten doesnt come up as an omin cue on the website, but it does on omin malaysia site, and for £58 its far superior to my mastercue which cost 3 times as much!

As the old saying goes you get what you pay for, so i'd look at this more simply maybe ignoring the badge and think for a cue set at the price you paid that your happy with and that suits you well is ok on that basis alone, had you paid £200 and got the same set it would have been a different story.

It's a copy, then only hologram that o min has is a limited run on their "ultimate" series

Their baseline range is "classic" and even that u are expected to pay over 100pounds

Its amazing how they can make copies of the cue brand like that, but again..the model name sort of gave itself away. Best is to do homework before purchase or buy from a reputable seller.

They are fake chinese copies, but are cracking cues in their own right for the price (I know cus I have one)

Couple of the Splices are a bit out but play really nice with great shafts on them. Nice oil finish and I would actually reccomend them to anyone. Always remember if buying a one piece you will end up paying approx £30 extra for import charges
