Me too, very practical. Using clamps is always a challenge for me with tightening them all evenly without slipping

I have seen Mike's shaft preparation video and the tip fitting one. Does he cover splicing in a video also?

they are great only problem is the love of varnish out there.

I bought one from Andy Gibbs just to take a look at one and it was a very tidy cue with that solid thai feel throughout helped by a firm tip. Great value for that price range.

iv heard that. as long as its done well i like a varnish finish, but only on the butt splicing, underrated imo

they are great only problem is the love of varnish out there.

Agreed, the shellac finish on the butt end of these Thai cues are beautiful & so much better!
I have no problem with feel at all and really shows off the woods used.
The shafts are always smooth and oiled finish which is where you want it.
I'd say to all these Thai makers(Phoenix, Mastercue, Niche, Omin, Maximus etc).....keep up the good work!

Remember years ago an ash shaft splitting down the grain. Glued it, got an old golf ball and unwound the elastic from the middle and wound it round the cue. Cue still in use.
