  • Taking inches off cue

    The new requisite cue a got is 58in and 9ml tip my other cues are 57 9.6 tip other is 57.6 9.8 tip so if a took sum thing off the exquisite cue would a get more tip size rather than 9ml because don't no if 9ml would suit me am going for a game with it tonight so al report on it

    If you took an inch off you should be somewhere near 9.5mm..just double check first with a set of verniers

        Done a few in the past mate..but usually on old club type cues. If your serious about getting yours done use a well renowned cue maker you don't want to wreck that nice new cue you have

          No a would send it to get it dun a meant by taking it down dus it make a larger tip ?

            Yes as the cue gets thicker as you go down. Use a pair of calipers to measure the cue shaft about and inch down to get a rough idea of the resulting thickness.

              Well I will give raymond a shout or mac cues to measure up and see what can bee dun al play a few frames tonight with it

                I would think the taper would have some effect on the tip size at 57"..? Best to get it measured by An expert. Not much point in chopping an inch off if you only get a small increase in tip size.

                  Yes a no a would give it to sum one to measure and see if it would be worth while. No point ruining a good cue for a big tip as you say
