Anyone ever used this adhesive for retipping?

Just wondering how effective it is if anyone knows, I've currently got a tip setting with it as we speak.

Seems a strong bond I must say!

I used to, but it sets really fast.

Looking forward to trimming the tip when I get in. It'll be 24 hours then, how long do you leave yours?

Buy superglue gel, give's you alot longer to mess about before it sets.

Buy the loctite power easy gel superglue, its repositionable, gives 20-30 seconds before it sets

Agree. I now use this and it is so much easier to make sure the tip is in the right position before it sets.
My favourite players: Walter Lindrum (AUS), Neil Robertson (AUS), Eddie Charlton (AUS), Robby Foldvari (AUS), Vinnie Calabrese (AUS), Jimmy White, Stephen Hendry, Alex Higgins, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Dominic Dale and Barry Hawkins.
                  I dream of a 147 (but would be happy with a 100)

I still usually use the loctite power flex but the power easy is good, and perfect if you need a little extra time to center the tip

gents rules say you have 15mins for retipping, which likely rules out evostick. the gel is better as it gives time to locate and it'll set in time.

SUPERGLUE GEL ! GIVES YOU TIME TO CENTER TIP ! dont use instant, very few people have a hand steady enough to get it right first time, also real sharp knife, plenty of masking tape, and most of all give yourself plenty of time and dont rush it, Re-tipping, shaping, also burnishing and getting your tip perfect can take time, forget that 15 minute rule if you are working at home.

Cheers boys. The evo stik worked like a dream but I think I'll invest in some of the gel stuff. Seems more convenient.

Wise move as I said get all your bits and tools laid out ready and allow yourself plenty of time to get it right, and dont forget that MASKING TAPE that scratch or ding on your cue may not effect its playing but it can sure play on your mind every time you look at it (Been there done it, just because I was careless)
