  • Cue badges

Just want some opinions here guys.
I've done a few numbered edition cues and I'm still not sure whether I like the number on the badge like Parris style or etched into the wood just above the badge like Will Hunt style.
    Opinions please.

On the badge. On the wood looks like an afterthought and can be chipped or worn off through time.

A like the badge on my cue. What bout a diffent coloured badge may give it a new bolder look

Thanks guys. I do really like my black badges with white writing as on your cue Stevie. Don't think I'd change the font or colour although I will offer the option of white with black writing too.
I suppose I could do any colour.
        Might give customer the option.

Not a big fan of them to be honest. Would you get them made up Jim or do them yourself.

Numbered badges are great, although they can be more costly to produce and so many people do them now. Stamping the number on the butt would be a unique touch and a nod to the Will Hunt cues. you could stamp on the opposite side towards the base perhaps.

I found these the other day in amongst some old files and nearly deleted them but didn't go through with it as I still like them

Yes I liked those badges too. What does everyone else think
Only thing with them is no room for numbers.

What about a stamp like will hunt but instead of leaving it blank I could fill it with some colour like silver, gold or any other colour.
                  Thought guys

I think a stamp on the butt will look good, get a bit of polished up ebony and try stamping them and infill with silver and gold then stick a pic up

how about both, a badge with number as well as a stamp of number on the opposite side - filled or not - then they support each other the authenticity of the cue

Not really into the colour scheme of badges to denote level of cue-quality

Yes a would say to try a old mini but you have lying around and try the stamp on wood by its self or one with both badge and stamp above and take it from there mate

I remember seeing a cue made by Trevor White for Dominic Dale that had the usual TW badge and above that had a smaller one with Dominic's initials on it, looked very classy. Maybe summat to consider?
